NDIS Short Term Accommodation & Assistance Information
Short term accommodation (STA) also known as respite, is included in the 'supports that are NDIS' list as an example under the 'Assistance with daily life tasks in a group or shared living arrangement' category. This means you can access short term accommodation under the terms set out in the short term accommodation guideline, available on the NDIS Website.
We are a NDIS registered provider of Short-Term Accommodation and Assistance (incl respite) and have three different packages which reflect the varying support needs of our guests who stay with us.
The NDIS may fund up to 28 days of Short Term Accommodation per year. You can use your Short Term Accommodation funding flexibly. For example, you might want to use it in a block of up to 14 days at a time or for one weekend a month.
As everyone’s circumstances are different we encourage you to speak with your Local Area Coordinator or Support Coordinator to discuss what may be covered for you by the NDIS.
