This 3-day course is designed for individuals seeking to rebuild sexual confidence, explore new skills, and embrace opportunities for growth following spinal cord injury.
Tailored for people of all ages, sexual orientations, and stages of the rehabilitation journey, the retreat offers a supportive space to learn about maximising sexual pleasure. Featuring the latest evidence and insights on sexuality and spinal cord injury, this experience will empower you to reclaim and celebrate this essential part of being human.
Presenters
- Dr Mitchell Tepper, a well-respected and world-renowned sexologist in the disability community and the medical rehabilitation field who has been living a full life with spinal cord injury for over 40 years.
- Candice Care-Unger, an award-winning clinician-researcher, specialist social worker and clinical sexologist.

All levels of injury are catered for.
All activities in group sessions will be fully clothed
There will be no medical interventions (medications)
Spinal Cord Injury specific content about positioning and adaptive aids are included.
Psychosexual therapy is a holistic approach to sexual wellbeing including personalised support to help develop confidence in exploring sexual needs and abilities. Psychosexual therapy is non-judgemental, pleasure focused and inclusive. Psychosexual therapy is a talk-based intervention where all clothes remain on and no physical assessments take place.
