Making Strides X Sargood on Collaroy
Sargood on Collaroy is thrilled to be offering a 13-night spinal cord injury intensive exercise rehab program delivered by Making Strides' specialised therapists.
Regular physical activity after sustaining a spinal cord injury can help improve independence, decrease pain, promote neural regeneration, and reduce the risk of secondary complications. During this course you will be exposed to a variety of modalities that will help you to achieve and maintain optimal physical and mental health and independence.
Making Strides are a neurological rehabilitation service located in Queensland. Their team of ESSA accredited Exercise Physiologists excel at providing a safe and supportive environment for clients to undertake evidence-based and client-centered practice, enabling you to achieve your goals and reach your full potential.
As a participant you will receive 1.5 hour sessions with your therapist and an assistant Monday – Friday and have the opportunity to participate in Sargood on Collaroy’s Activities Program on weekends.
The course will take place at Sargood on Collaroy in our purpose-built accessible gym.
Inclusions
- 10 x 90 minute Exercise Physiology sessions with a Making Strides therapist and assistant
- Group based training sessions to focus on enhancing cardiovascular fitness and muscular endurance.

Making Strides are a neurological rehabilitation service based in Queensland delivering and providing a safe space for people to perform exercise and maintain optimal health throughout their life. They offer exercise physiology, physiotherapy and a range of allied health services and pride themselves on being a place to create community integration and social support networks.
