Care Support.
Our team of Guest Attendants are highly skilled in all aspects of your care. Specialising in the management of spinal cord injury, our guest attendants are trained in-house by our Clinical Nurse Consultant.
By ensuring a high standard of training, our staff provide quality care that is consistently recognised as exceeding NDIS standards and guest expectations.
On the appropriate package and if you have pre-booked care, our guest attendants can support:
- Hoist, slideboard and standing transfers.
- Showering and dressing.
- Complex bowel and bladder care including anal irrigation, high enemas and catheter maintenance instillations.
- Meal preparation and other domestic tasks.
Nursing.
Our clinical nursing team including Registered Nurses and Clinical Nurse Consultants have extensive skills in the management of spinal cord injury.
They are available 7 days a week (6:30 am - 2:00 pm) to assist you with:
- Skin, pressure and wound care education
- Ongoing wound care management
- Catheter changes
- Bladder and bowel care - Health management
- Sex and intimacy education
The following nursing services are part of our Bespoke Program.
- Continence review and assessment
- Support worker training
Occupational Therapy.
Highly skilled in spinal cord injury rehabilitation, our Occupational Therapist can work with you to maximise your independence with everyday activities.
Our occupational therapist can provide general information and education on the following:
- Assitive technology & equipment demonstrations
- Wheelchairs and seating
- Power assist systems
- Beds and mattresses
- Mobile shower commodes
- Environmental control technology
- Computer and phone access
- Adaptive video gaming
- Leisure equipment modification (e.g. adapted controller for drones/RC Cars)
- Daily living skills training
- Transfers
- Dressing
- Cooking
- Wheelchair skills
Adapted Recreation.
Our adapted recreation team are here to support you during your stay. The team are trained in supporting adaptive recreation for people with spinal cord injury and run our Weekly Activity Program.
Our team is able to modify equipment and activities to support your participation in activities during your stay, which may include:
- Kayaking
- Beach Access
- Swimming
- Snorkelling
- Adapted Cycling
- Fishing
- Wheelchair Tennis
The following recreation services are part of our Bespoke Program.

Lifeworks Team.
Royal Rehab LifeWorks is conveniently located onsite at Sargood on Collaroy. We currently offer exercise physiology, physiotherapy and allied health assistant services that you can access during your stay.
Our therapists specialise in the rehabilitation and management of spinal cord injuries.
