3D printing is an exciting technology that allows you to design and fabricate your own customised products. While there are some adaptive aids available for purchase that allow some people with disability to perform some tasks, in many cases there is no product at all, or if there is, you might have found that often it is not quite right for your specific needs. 3D printing offers you the ability to design and manufacture your own solutions, meaning you are no longer reliant on someone else to notice a problem, think of a solution, and get the design right. Now you can be that person, and with the right tools and skills you can make that perfect thing that solves your particular problem in precisely the right way. The opportunities are only limited by your imagination, creativity, problem solving ability, and design skills! 

The 3D printing course at Sargood on Collaroy provides a hands-on introduction to the world of 3D printing. By the end of the course you will be a competent basic user of this technology, able to find 3D models designed by others, as well as design models of your own, and print them off successfully.  

The course will run over 3 days, with a structured training period each morning, and a less structured practice session each afternoon. Each evening your models will be printed off ready to be collected the following morning, and you will get to take these 3 models home with you. To support you to continue to practice and refine your skills, you will be provided with a further 3 complementary prints to use after completion of the course - you design your models at home, send the files in to us, and we'll print them off and post them back to you.
